Chamillionaire has been selected as the 1st rapper to be appointed as the co-Grand Marshal of Houston's 15th annual MLK Grande Parade, the biggest MLK celebration in the country.
The vent is expected to draw a crowd of 300,000 and will serve as a platform to honor U.S. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson-Lee and Houston City Council Member, Peter Brown, for their work in various impoverished communities.
The day’s theme, “The Color of Unity,” will promote cultural diversity and tolerance among all races, something Dr. Martin Luther King emphasized before he was assassinated on April 4, 1968.
