Cheech & Chong get reunited on their Light Up American tourand catch an added dose of high humor via Big Vision Entertainment.
Big Vision has begun the production of an animated film based on Cheech & Chong through a partnership with Chambers Bros. Entertainment. Big Vision CEO Houston Curtis will produce the film. The films concept was created by Keith, Branden, and Eric Chambers who make up Chambers Bros. Entertainment.
Big Vision and Chamber Bros. Entertainment secured the publishing rights for material from the Cheech & Chong library which was controlled by music producer and Ode Records owner Lou Adler. The materials will be used to create "Cheech and Chong's Smokin' Animated Movie." Adler discovered Cheech & Chong in the 1970's. He will serve as executive producer.
"It's great to be doing a movie where Cheech and I never have to get out of bed or be on camera," Chong said.
"It's about time that we got animated because we've been doing animation without the animation for years," Marin said. "Whether you watch it smokin' a fattie or stone-cold sober, it's just plain funny."
